the zimmer family
It was a pleasure meeting and working with the Zimmer family – turns out that Erin and David actually teach in the same school district! They introduced us to the cutest little park in Ann Arbor that we had not gone to yet – Parker Mills Country Park on Geddes. Thanks for a great recommendation, along with a great photoshoot, Zimmers!
the kerns family
this photoshoot was a long time in the making, with two reschedules! both were completely out of anyone’s control, as it was 28 degrees on Mother’s day (ugh!) and storming our next scheduled date. So, when the heat index was 102 this week, we were NOT going to reschedule! luckily, the kerns family is gorgeous and looked great despite all the heat and humidity.

Derek and Laura welcomed little Emerson into the family about two weeks ago. He joins sweet brother Bennett to make this a family of red headed children! We loved being able to meet the boys and hang out with Derek and Laura – it had been way too long since we had seen them!
Four Generations
Anya asked me to take a four generation photo of her, her daughter, her mom and her grandma – what a great idea! We met at the peony gardens at the University of Michigan. The blooms were perfect! I think it’s so cool to have these pictures taken and am honored to have documented this for them.
the expanding reeves family
If you follow our work, you’ll already know these sweet faces – our three nephews! And exciting news – another is on the way! Melissa and Josh have another baby BOY joining Noah (6), Benjamin (4) and Luke (2). We wanted to get some updated photos of the boys before their new brother arrives. We’re so excited to meet our new nephew – stay tuned for pictures of a sweet little one in late August.
On our walk back to the car after some drive in A&W with the boys, David grabbed this super cool photo of a hot air balloon!

Our dear friends the Gabriels are moving to Denver! Although we are so sad to see them go, we are excited to visit them – and of course, we had to document Noel’s last month in Michigan. Check out how much she has grown since her newborn pictures (and here are Joy’s maternity photos, to0).

We absolutely love this family. They have trusted us to capture Emma’s newborn photos, Emma’s 6 month photos, and now, family pictures with their brand new son, James. We have enjoyed so much watching Emma grow, and now are thrilled to see their family grow even more.
baby evan is here!
Baby Evan was one of the easiest newborns I had ever seen! He was such a sweet sleeper that we could get lots of great pictures. His brother, Tyler, was so fun and full of energy. I had such a fun morning with the whole family!
the statlers 2013
We have loved documenting the Statler family as they have expanded and grown. Moira is 1 now, and Liesel is almost 3. They are both the sweetest, most lovable girls with all their own personality – as I’m sure you can see 
the townsend family
After one reschedule due to snow (in mid-April!) and 20 miles of trying to find each other in Waterloo State Park (did you know it’s the largest state park in the lower peninsula?! We did not…), we finally connected with Lloyd, Amanda, Kyra and Avi. It was Lloyd’s birthday – and what could be more fun than family pictures on your birthday? 😉 The weather was perfect and no one was at Portage Lake, so we had a great time with the whole family. So glad that Amanda brought Avi’s cute little hat along, too!
